 Manager – R&D (Bakery & Confectionery)

  • Location: Muvattupuzha
  • Qualification: Degree in Food Technology or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience: Min 8 –10+ years in Product Development (Bakery & Confectionery)
  • Salary: 18 LPA

About the Role:

Lead the R&D team to develop and improve bakery and confectionery products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with FSSAI standards. Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to bring new products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the R&D team in developing new bakery and confectionery products.
  • Optimize product formulations for quality, cost, and compliance with FSSAI norms.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Purchase teams for new product briefs and cost optimization.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage product trials, testing, and process optimization.
  • Provide technical support to production and sales teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and data management in ERP systems.
  • Conduct product training for new employees.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of enzymes, emulsifiers, and hydrocolloids used in bakery products.
  • Familiar with HACCP, GMP, and food labeling regulations.
  • Good communication skills in English (Hindi/Malayalam an advantage).
  • Proficient in ERP/SAP and MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for market visits and product validations.
