The Psychologist will play a key role in implementing Mehac’s Community Mental Health program, providing psychological support and interventions to individuals across different age groups. He/she will be responsible for conducting assessments, offering counseling and psychosocial support to clients and caregivers, engaging with various stakeholders and contributing to mental health awareness efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities
Psychological Assessments & Interventions
- Conduct psychological assessments and offer counseling services, under supervision.
 - Develop individualized intervention plans.
 - Offer short-term and long-term psychosocial support for clients and caregivers.
 
Community Based Mental Health Services
- Provide counseling and therapeutic support at outpatient clinics.
 - Conduct home visits as needed to support clients and families.
 - Facilitate caregiver support services, including individual counseling and psychoeducation.
 
Adolescent & Youth Mental Health Initiatives
- Lead, design and implement mental health programs for adolescents and youth.
 - Engage with schools, colleges and other organizations/groups working with young people.
 - Facilitate group sessions on various topics like stress management, substance use, peer relationships and other relevant topics, based on community needs and requests.
 - Support early identification of mental health concerns and provide referrals for specialised services when necessary.
 - Work closely with educators and parents to create a supportive environment for young people.
 
Capacity Building & Awareness
- Develop content for training and awareness sessions.
 - Conduct workshops and outreach programmes for different stakeholders.
 - Lead and participate in mental health campaigns in collaboration with schools, colleges and other organizations.
 
Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated service delivery.
 - Maintain records, case notes and submit reports as needed.
 - Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.
 - Eligibility & Requirements
 - Education: Master’s degree in Psychology
 - Experience: Freshers are welcome to apply. Experience working with children, adolescents and youth is an advantage.
 
Skills:
- Strong counseling and therapeutic skills.

 - Experience in developing and delivering capacity building content.
